Un dato nada menor (y muy poco conocido)  de la obra de este notable y prolifero compositor que podia escribir un concierto en una noche,  es que compuso 5 obras exclusivamente para guitarra que fueron grabadas por el guitarrista clásico Victor Villadango.

Dado que en reiterados y variados intentos me encontre con trabas burocraticas que me impidieron usar las transcripciones de estas obras en mis libros, decidi hacer una compilación de distintas  situaciones guitarristicas que consideré de un alto valor pedagogico y crear con ellas un tema que llamé  Piazzolletto Porteño  y se encuentra en mi libro Guitarra tango. En el encontraran una cantidad de situaciones tipicamente Piazzollisticas que seguramente les serán de gran utilidad  a quienes deseen conocer el vocabulario de Astor en el instrumento.

One was looking full of hopes, but in Gardel’s, goyeneche’s and Piazzolla’s country there wasn’t any book about tango guitar. Decided to fullfill this lackness, Fico de Castro (author of “The Bible of Rock) created “Tango Guitar“: a very good way to get into this style. The book has introductions and endigs typical of tango, plus complete songs in a Pugliese, Troilo, Salgán and Piazzolla style. It also includes two guitars versions of songs we all remember: “Volver” (Come Back) and “Mi Buenos Aires Querido” (My Dear Buenos Aires) plus other two tangos composed by Fico de Castro himself. The book comes with a CD that includes all the examples played by Raúl Luzzi. And… yes, the book has that I don’t know what, you see? Congratulations to Fico. MUSIC SHOP, Magazine.

Mucho rock, mucho blues, mucho heavy pero ¿y nuestra música ciudadana? El guitarrista Fico de Castro, autor de libros como “Escalas & Acordes”, “Tapping Book” y “La Biblia del Rock” entre otros, tuvo la brillante idea de lanzar al mercado un libro dedicado al tango pero con el mismo formato que los libros modernos de técnica. Se presenta asi un materia ágil, con múltiples ejemplos de introducciones, fraseos, finales y con CD de audio incluido. Estilos de interpretacion como los de Osvaldo Pugliese, Anibal Troilo, Astor Piazzola, Horacio Salgán y Roberto Grela son tratados aquí tanto en música como en tablatura para el facil entendimiento del joven instrumentista que se interesa por el tango y la milonga. Este “Tango Guitar” está escrito en tres idiomas: castellano, ingles y japonés. Lo que se dice un materia for export. En el final se incluyen transcripciones especiales para guitarra, para temas como Mi Buenos Aires Querido, Volver y Piazzoleto Porteño entre otros, ademas de un listado de Guitarristas en la historia del Tango.
